Brother Dunstan has been spending his summers studying Latin at the University of Georgia. In the meantime, he has taken over as head of the Classics Department, and continues to teach Latin in both the Upper and Junior schools. Most importantly, he took his solemn vows on August 25. |

Br. Francis is in his fourth and final year of studies at the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, DC. He hopes to graduate with a Masters in Divinity in May, 2013 and then to be ordained to the priesthood next summer. Br. Francis spent the summer preparing for his Diaconate Ordination which took place on August 11th. He is eager to return to St. Louis Abbey and begin teaching in the Junior School again. |

Brother Cassian is entering his third year of studies for the priesthood at the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas (Angelicum) in Rome. Over the summer, he traveled to England to visit several of our sister houses (Ampleforth, Douai, Belmont, Colwich, and Ealing), took a pre-ordination retreat at Conception Abbey, and ordained a deacon on August 11. He hopes to receive his bachelors in Sacred Theology next spring and to be ordained a priest next summer. After ordination to the priesthood, he will study for two additional academic years for a license in Sacred Theology in Spiritual Theology |

Br Cuthbert is entering his third year of studies at St Benet's Hall, Oxford. This summer he visited the Holy Land with a group of students from Oxford University, led by Fr Henry Wansbrough, OSB. Next Summer he will sit examinations in the Final Honour School of Theology and afterwards, God willing, be ordained to the diaconate. In between studies and prayer, he serves as the President of the St Benet's Hall Boat Club. |

Brother Maximilian spent this last year teaching Theology, coaching cross country, track, and the Ultimate Frisbee team. In addition to acting as the monastery’s MC, Maximilian also ran two successful monkcamps while preparing to enter his first year of studies at the Dominican Studium at Oxford. There he expects to spend the next several years studying and preparing for ordination to the priesthood. |

Brother Aidan is entering his second year of Theological studies at Blessed John XXIII Seminary. Over the summer, he traveled with brother monks including a trip to one of our sister houses, Portsmouth Abbey in Rhode Island. Next Fall, he will continue his studies towards the priesthood and hopes to be ordained in 2015. Deo Volente. |

Br. John is entering his second year of Theology at the Dominican House of Studies near Catholic University in Washington, D.C. He is staying nearby at St. Anselm's Abbey, a sister monastery to St. Louis Abbey which is located in the heart of Washington DC. |

Br. Edward has been teaching Theology in the Junior School while he prepares for solemn vows and completes his philosophical studies at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary. Recently, he was put in charge of liturgical music at the school, and he has been acting as the assistant kitchenmaster, baking bread for the community. |

As the newest member of the community, Br. Athanasius will be entering his second year of novitiate and his first year of Philosophy studies at Kenrick-Glennon. Over the summer, he traveled to Union, MO where he helped lead the Priory student council retreat. This year he will act as the Student Council faculty sponsor and begin teaching Theology in the Junior School. |
