"Let nothing be preferred to the work of God" -- Rule of St. Benedict 43:3
Every day begins with prayer. In the predawn morning we pray Vigils and then have a half-hour for meditation. Four more times throughout the day we gather to chant God’s praises and seek His help. The prayer sanctifies our time and work. The high point of each day is the Holy Mass: the “Source and Summit of the Christian life” (Lumen Gentium, 11) to which everything else is a preparation and from which come the grace and strength to live a joyful Christian life.
